Welcome

Wax Lake Retrievers is a full service kennel based in Durant, Mississippi . I started training retrievers in south Louisiana and still service clients from that area. My Durant location is a 100 acre training facility . We supply training services for gun dog training and hunt test training as well. We offer started and finished dogs for sale. These dogs come from our litters and pups are sold as well. Make an appointment today and come bye and join us in a training session.

Training

Our training consists of two programs. Basic last about four months and incorporates basic obedience, collar conditioning, and force fetch with basic simple retrieves with birds decoys and gun shots. Finished program adds to basic the advaneed yard work needed to run blind retrieves it also incorporates advance multiple marks and blind retrieves. Time varies with finished training.

Started dogs

Started dogs come equipped with many skills. They have completed basic obedience,collar conditioning and force fetch. Basic marks and intro to birds and gun shots as well. Prices depend on amount of training or experience the dog has.

Finished dogs

Finished dogs have completed all yard work and are running advanced multiple marks and blinds. They are more mature and ready to hunt and run high level hunt test. Call for prices or visit Wax Lake Retrievers on Facebook

Puppies

Quality Pet Care

At our kennel litters come from top quality parents with full health clearances. I prefer to produce Labrador pups from dogs I’m familiar with. Another words I have worked with these dogs or have trained with them. This ensures I produce exactly what I’m looking for.
